The How to Start and Operate a Small Business (A Certificate will be awarded upon completion of this series. See instructions below) Many entrepreneurs want to start a business right away because the idea of being their own boss is a passion that must be released as soon as possible; however, before money is invested or borrowed, there are multiple business principles that new business owners must learn and understand. These seminars have been carefully selected to assist individuals who want to start their own business. If you have already started a business but you have questions about marketing, bookkeeping, taxes or business loans, these seminars will benefit you greatly as well. While participating in this series, you will learn how to: • Fairly evaluate your business idea • Price your products and services • Write a successful business plan • Locate sources of funding • Start and grow your business • Properly license your business and select the proper legal structure • Market your business • Keep proper records and pay the correct taxes • And much more Seminars will be presented by Tim Dannelly, Dennis Watts, Thomas Patrick and Mike Collins. Certificate Requirements: A certificate, issued by the Small Business Center of Robeson Community College, will be awarded to the attendees who complete at least 14 hours of instructions. You may attend as few or as many seminars as you desire; however, you must attend at least 14 hours of instruction to receive a certificate.
