The Eleventh Annual Entrepreneur Academy - (FREE-See Below) (A Certificate will be Awarded. Requirements are Listed Below) Many entrepreneurs want to start a business right away because the idea of being their own boss is a passion that must be released as soon as possible; however, before money is invested or borrowed, there are several business essentials that new business owners need to understand. The Entrepreneur Academy has been designed to give you this basic information in just nine seminars. During this series you will learn about the basics of starting a business, writing a successful business plan, funding your business, cash flow, and keeping your business legal and growing. While participating in this program, you will also learn how to: • Fairly evaluate your business idea • Write a successful business plan • Locate sources of funding • Start and grow your business • Properly license your business and select the proper legal structure • Control labor costs • Keep proper records and pay the correct taxes • Increase your credit score and correct problems with your credit report in preparation for a bank business loan You may attend as few or as many seminars as you like; however, to receive a certificate issued by the Small Business Center, you must attend at least six of the nine seminars. Each Entrepreneur Academy for the past ten years has produced multiple new business ventures! Make plans now to attend this exciting and informative series. All workshops will be held at Robeson Community College in the Workforce Development Center. These presentations are open to the public and provided FREE of charge for a limited time. Inspiring entrepreneurs, existing business owners, managers of all levels, supervisors, and team leaders who own and/or manage a non-profit, for-profit, private or public organization or company. Certificate Requirements: Participants must attend at least six of the nine seminars and you must attend the entire seminar. LATE ATTENDEES OR ATTENDEES LEAVING EARLY WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR CERTIFICATION. The certification will be issued by the Small Business Center. Non-Certificate Attendance: Any person, employee or volunteer is welcome to attend any individual seminar(s); however, for certification, the above requirements must be met.
