This seminar is "A MUST" for churches and other faith based organizations. This seminar will guide church leaders to understand the business side of church management. Churches are not informal clubs… they are recognized by IRS as a legitimate business and as such, they are required to follow certain rules. Pastors, deacons, trustees, board members, finance committee and church treasurers, and other church leaders are encouraged to attend. This seminar will help your church: a. Gain knowledge of the Legal Definition of The Church (non-profit / tax exempt) b. To learn the IRS Rules In Accounting c. Who gets 1099’S and W-2 FORMS d. Reporting requirements for Ministers e. Giving charitable credit for cash and non-cash contributions. f. Which designated funds are allowable or non-allowable g. Financial Audits; should we do this? If so how often? h. Developing Financial Internal Controls i. Developing Policy for handling finances. The presenter Sam Gore, has earned a Masters of Ministry degree with emphasis on Conflict Management, from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newberg Indiana. He is a member of the American Institute of Parliamentarians, and a Certified Risk Management Specialist, having completed 90 hours of graduate work with Cambridge University.
