Nonprofit Thursdays: Developing Nonprofit bylaws & Board of Directors
Thoroughly written bylaws help organizations know how to handle new situations or issues that may arise. A Board is necessary if you want to gain nonprofit status and get public funding. This seminar will: * Define bylaws, when they should be written, how to write them, and how to use them to keep your group on track.* Give you information about what a Board of Directors is, and about some different kinds of Boards. It will explore why many organizations can benefit from Boards, and what Boards actually do and how they work. This is a part of the "Nonprofit Thursday's" Certificate Series. Each session of the series will be held on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Attend 6 unduplicated seminars in a calendar year (Jan.1 - Dec. 31, 2016)and receive a Nonprofit Training Certificate of completion.
