Randolph Community College's Small Business Center and the NC Pottery Center are teaming up to offer a unique seminar about how to break into and succeed in the thriving NC pottery industry. This industry has been one of the most prominent in our part of the state for decades. Even though this area of NC is one of the most active and thriving within the pottery industry the risk of opening and operating your own small business in this industry runs the risk often associated with opening your own venture. This seminar will give you first hand information of how to build your business on a solid foundation and then provide tailored information for success and best practices within the pottery industry. Please join us for this FREE event and an evening packed full of information and comradery. Our speakers include: Ed Ormsby- who is a published author and has many years of on hand experience in starting small businesses and helping them succeed. Hitomi Shibata- is a local pottery artist who has studied and made pottery for more than 25 years and has operated her own studio and kiln since 2008 Dan Triece- a very popular NC potter who runs Dirtworks Pottery and has had his pieces featured all over the east coast.
