Virtual - NCSU Building a Safety and Health Management System
This Module assists small- and medium-sized businesses in developing and implementing an effective safety and health management system in the workplace. Companies that do so can greatly reduce the number and severity of work-related accidents and illnesses. Other benefits include fewer employee lost work days, lower workers' compensation costs, and higher employee morale and productivity. Using the proactive approach presented in this Module, managers and employees work together to identify workplace hazards and potentially dangerous conditions. They develop and implement processes, procedures, and programs to prevent accidents, injuries, and illnesses from occurring. This Module consists of six lessons and a Final Test. After successfully passing the Final Test and completing the Module Evaluation, you may earn a certificate of completion for Module 1. Click on the tabs below to see overviews of each lesson.
