This course is intended to help you navigate the challenges and opportunities of owning your own business. More specifically, after participating in this workshop, attendees will: 1. Understand the importance of effective nonprofit board members. 2. Understand the board’s legal and ethical obligations. 3. Learn how to develop effective governance policies. 4. Identify and define board member roles and responsibilities in your nonprofit. 5. Learn about board operations and management, including conducting and building effective board meetings and committees along with managing board conflicts and challenges. 6. Understand how to recruit and retain effective board members. 7. Learn how to help develop board members skills and knowledge. Join us virtually online to attend.
