How to Start a Drone Business

The objective of this three (3) hour workshop is to present participants with the required information that anyone who wants to enter into the drone services industry needs to know. Participants will learn about setting up a successful and legal (regulatory: Federal and State) drone business, what it takes to obtain a FAA-Part 107 'Commercial Drone Pilot' license, the different types of drone equipment available, and the various market 'verticals' that are profitable. The worldwide market for drones is estimated to top $127 Billion USD within the next two to three years. How much of that market share will you be ready to share in?

Speaker(s): Probyn 'Probe' Thompson III "Probe"is President and CEO of Air Probe LLC and will be conducting the seminar. Probyn has over thirty years of demonstrated expertise in planning and executing operations globally for both military and private sector business operations. Probyn retired from active duty US Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel after completing over twenty-three years as a fixed wing combat aviator, Attaché, Weapon School / Instructor Pilot, and Air Liaison Officer (ALO) to the US Army. Probyn trained and deployed to Afghanistan as a private contractor to manage flight operations as a UAV Detachment and Mission Commander supporting US military combat ground operations. He then returned to work in the UAS industry for a UAV manufacturer for four years before founding Air Probe LLC, d.b.a. Air Probe UAV.
