Topic: Nonprofit

The Nonprofit Summit is a one-day series of courses designed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of nonprofit Executive Directors, board members, and for those hoping to start a nonprofit! Timeline of Events - 8:30am - 10:30am How to Start a Nonprofit Business: There is a tremendous interest coming from our communities of wanting to know how to form a nonprofit business. Careful consideration should be given to this quest and much attention needs to be given to the proper steps to take. Failure to do so could result in serious consequences for individuals as well as becoming detrimental to the original cause for which the non-profit was designed. If you are considering starting a non-profit business, please plan to attend this very informative seminar. 10:45am - 12:45pm How to Do the 501 (c)(3) Thing: Most non-profits are small businesses with very few employees. Will your non-profit accept donations and volunteers? Will contributions to your organization be deductible? How do you set up the organization? Come to this seminar for answers. 12:45pm - 1:30pm Lunch Break 1:30pm - 3:30pm How to Restore or Develop a Board That’s on Board: This seminar is focuses primarily on some practical tips and tools, rather than the latest research that can bring about “transformational change,” in Boards. Government agencies, Foundations, and individual donors and other potential supporters and funders want information concerning Boards. What they discover might make the difference between receiving their support and or funds, or not.
