Do you feel like financial terms are in another language? Accurately collecting, preparing, maintaining, and reporting on the financial information of your company are essential, ongoing activities that are critical to your company’s financial future and growth. In this course, you will learn the basics for developing legally compliant financial statements such as the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, Income Statement, State of Cash Flows, Statement of Owner’s Equity, and reading the financial statements of other companies. You will also gain valuable tips to help you avoid misstating your company information. In part 2 of this course (to be scheduled following part 1), you will take a deeper dive into making managerial projections and decisions based on the reporting of your financial information. Beyond preparing for discussions with bankers, tax officials, etc., you will produce a financial picture of your company that may entice investors and open you up to other funding availability.
