Getting Grant Ready: Creating a Budget and Financial Plan for Grant Success
Writing the grant is the easy part. Getting everything ready before you start writing is the key to success. In the Getting Grant Ready series students will learn, in detail, about the different sections of typical grant applications and how to prepare for award-winning grant applications. When considering whether an organization or program is a sound investment, funders need to have confidence that their dollars will be properly managed and that the organization is financially stable enough to carry out the program plans to completion. In this session, students will learn the basics of creating organizational and program budgets that showcase your organization’s financial management acumen to increase funders’ confidence and willingness to invest. This session will include interactive learning, discussion of various revenue streams, and peer review work sessions.
