Understanding and Working with Different Ages and Generations for Funeral Directors
Different age groups and generations have their own characteristics and values based on life experiences and the time they grew up. Knowing what they are can help you connect with families, build trust, strengthen relationships, improve employee morale and boost productivity. We’ll listen to music and go on an entertaining and nostalgic adventure through history as we discuss the unique talents, struggles, motivators and defining events of each generation and how they relate to the funeral industry - Millennials, born 1981-2000; Gen-Xers, born 1965-1980; Baby boomers, born 1946-1964; and Traditionalists, born 1925-1945. Cost to Attend is $70.00 Pocket cards are required for admission and CE credit. This course has been approved by the North Carolina Board of Funeral Service for 5 hours of continuing education credit.
