Before starting M&J Financial Management, Dr. Melvin studied at East Carolina University and obtained her BSBA degree in Management Accounting. She received her Master’s in Business Administration from Webster University. Dr. Melvin completed her education journey at Walden University, obtaining her Doctor’s in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance. Dr. Melvin spent over ten years working in the mental health and accounting industry but always had the desire to help others achieve financial freedom through financial literacy. In 2014, Dr. Melvin decided to pursue that desire by starting M&J Financial Management as a small business. Dr. Melvin enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and hosting small business seminars/webinars.
