In this seminar, the instructor will cover basic requirements to help North Carolina businesses understand the laws and obligations necessary to be a tax compliant business. Participants learn about filing and administrative requirements, the basics of NC sales & use tax law, the basics of NC withholding tax law, step by step directions for completing sales tax and withholding returns, and directions for filing and paying online. Different agencies may be present during the Business Tax Essentials Seminars to deliver additional information including the Secretary of State, Industrial Commission, Employment Security or Business Link North Carolina. An expanded version of this seminar will be offered December 4, 2018, from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. SBC events are free, but please register to reserve your seat.
