Non Profit Foundations 101
Non-Profit Foundations 101- This workshop will offer key information to community members who are interested in establishing a new non-profit or for leaders of current non-profits that are still in the early stages of development. Facilitators will provide an overview of non-profit "norms", outline policies and procedures needed to protect the organization, and will present "best practices" for new non-profits. At the end of this session, you will be able to: • Understand key documentation and legal processes for beginner non-profits • Establish a checklist/timeline for your non-profit with critical development milestones • Ensure that your organization is in compliance and can legally solicit funds at the local, state, and federal level. • Apply knowledge to create a more realistic/competitive operating budget
