The Business of Self-Publishing is designed to help writers understand and navigate the complex world of book publishing and marketing. The workshop is designed to help attendees make sound business decisions about choosing a print-on-demand or other self-publishing company, developing a publicity program, and setting up a budget. Annette Dunlap, MBA, has over 30 years experience in marketing and business planning. She is also a published author of three books and a fifth book under contract. Her books have given her the opportunity to appear on nationwide television. She shares the lessons she has learned about the ins and outs of the publishing world. This workshop will cover how to: Understand the business basics of publishing Evaluate self-publishing companies Tips for identifying an editor and cover designer Build a platform to create a following and market a book Budget for publication and marketing
