Participants will receive an introduction to payroll and taxes; learn how to prepare for the payroll process by finding the information you need on the Internal Revenue Service, NCDOR, and Employment Security websites, from the details of complying with withholding requirements for taxes to the process for applying for an employer identification number and other state identification numbers; and review all aspects of how to set up, maintain and process payroll.
