Are you thinking about starting a nonprofit or are you currently working with an organization that is just getting off the ground? If so, this engaging workshop will offer a comprehensive checklist of things that must be done in the first three years to lay a foundation for success. Participants will walk away with resources to ensure that their organization is in compliance with state/federal laws as well as a greater understanding of the key components of development that impact sustainability. We will focus on board development, budgeting, program design, and fundraising basics. At the end of this session, you will be able to: 1. Understand key documentation and legal processes for beginner non-profits 2. Establish a checklist/timeline for your non-profit with critical development milestones 3. Ensure that your organization is in compliance and can legally solicit funds at the local, state, and federal level. 4. Apply knowledge to create a more realistic/competitive operating budget A grant writing expert, executive coach, and national fundraising trainer, Mandy Pearce, CFRE, launched Funding for Good, Inc. in 2009 to equip organizations with the skills and tools needed to become successful and sustainable.
