Non-Profit Foundations 101
This workshop will offer key information to community members who are interested in establishing a new non-profit or for leaders of current non-profits that are still in the early stages of development. Facilitators will provide an overview of non-profit "norms", outline policies and procedures needed to protect the organization, and will present "best practices" for new non-profits. At the end of this session, you will be able to: • Understand key documentation and legal processes for beginner non-profits • Establish a checklist/timeline for your non-profit with critical development milestones • Ensure that your organization is in compliance and can legally solicit funds at the local, state, and federal level. • Apply knowledge to create a more realistic/competitive operating budget A grant writing expert, executive coach, and national fundraising trainer, Mandy Pearce, CFRE, launched Funding for Good, Inc. in 2009 to equip organizations with the skills and tools needed to become successful and sustainable.
