May

2018
Thu 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM

One of the biggest problems that new small businesses face, is how to manage cash flow. Business is not only about how much money you make, but how you manage it. This hands-on workshop will give students a solid foundation on how cash flow works and will allow them to setup a cash flow system for a mock business. They would then be provided with the tools to setup their cash flow system for their own businesses. Whether you are starting a new business or expanding a successful existing business, we will cover the financial sources that are available to you. Evaluate sources of business financing to determine which would best serve your needs. Prepare for the process of securing business financing and identify the lender's considerations in granting credit. Discuss federal and state loan guarantee programs. Prepare yourself to work with an SBDC counselor to finalize your business plan and loan application. (1 hour break for lunch)
