Virtual - NCSU : Seeking Certification of a Safety and Health Management System

On Demand
Until Jun 30

Seeking certification of a safety and health management system (SHMS) can benefit a business by assuring its employees, potential customers, business partners, and government agencies that the SHMS meets the stringent safety and health standards of a particular well-recognized model. This Module assists businesses, wishing to take their SHMS to the next level, to select the best SHMS model for their organization and conform to its requirements. Because the certification process varies with the unique needs and characteristics of each company, this Module offers guidance and tools to businesses as they go through this process. The SHMS models addressed in this Module include: OSHA Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Specification OHSAS 18001:2007 ANSI Z10:2005 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems ILO-OSH 2001 Guidelines on Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems. This Module consists of two lessons and a Final Test. After successfully passing the Final Test and completing the Module Evaluation, you may earn a certificate of completion for Module 2. Click on the tabs below to see overviews of each lesson.
