If you are a woman, minority, or disabled business owner, this seminar can help you position your company to grow and do business with the State of North Carolina. State government is the largest purchaser of goods and services in the state. Many state contract opportunities contain participation goals for Historically Underutilized Businesses (minority and women-owned businesses). You will have the option to complete the HUB certification in the computer lab during this workshop. Bring a valid email address and the business EIN number or social security number of the sole proprietor. An EIN can be obtained at no cost and online at irs.gov (enter EIN in the search box, click on the apply online option).This workshop for MWBE businesses interested in HUB Certification, will cover:-Review of the complete HUB certification application process-An in-depth look at the Statewide Uniform Certification Application-Answers to the most common application questions-Hands-on registering on the electronic Vendor Portal (e-VP)-Participating in the NC e-Procurement System, NC Interactive Purchasing system (IPS), and HUB certification
