Taxes for Farms

During this workshop, we will cover Farm ID numbers, sales tax exemption, agricultural deferment, and listing farm machinery. Join us for the discussion regarding the criteria for land to be eligible for farm or forestry deferment, how to apply and follow through with the application. The Davidson County Tax Department will explain what must be done for land to remain in a deferment program and how people sometimes lose this benefit. They will also talk about listing farm machinery and how this is an essential part of farm use deferment, even if someone does not own the land they tend.
