Lunch provided by the Small Business Center, Sheetz, The Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce, The Thomasville Area Chamber of Commerce: Recent research shows that being emotionally intelligent (EI) can help business owners better connect with team members, enhance the workplace relationships, and plays a critical role in higher productivity, performance and job satisfaction. Upon completion of this workshop participants will: Identify the benefits of understanding emotional intelligence in the workplace. Define and practice the four core skills of EI: self-management, self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation and empathy. Understand how their emotions affect others and how others’ emotions affect theirs. Learn why emotional intelligence is vital to succeeding in today’s workplace Learn the top 3 reasons they need EI to reach their full potential How strengthening their emotional intelligence will have a lasting, positive effect on them personally, the team, the department and the organization
