Grant writing is a lengthy process that begins with an idea. However, before the writing process starts, fundamental knowledge about grants is important. This webinar will identify grant categories and terminology, define the purpose of a "grant", identify grant types available and explore reasons why funders provide grants. Grant Seeking 101 is an introduction to Grant Writing 101.

Course Objectives: Participants will acquire skills in grant preparation, such as knowledge of effective pre-grant proposal actions; acquiring research related strategies; understanding the crucial components of relationship building; understanding the components of a grant proposal; reviewing grant development procedures and grant follow up protocols; and understanding how to assess funder approval criteria.
