Topic: Nonprofit

It is written that most grant awards are based on merit and not on need. That is, even a though a non-profit organization is struggling financially, another organization would sooner be awarded a competitive grant if it submitted a higher quality application. According to “The Grantsmanship Center…Since the point of a grant award is impact rather than money, the real point of a grant proposal is to rally the necessary resources to help the non-profit fulfill its purpose. A grant is a tool non-profits use to address important issues within their communities”. With that logic, as non-profit organizations apply for grants, they need to be clear with how the money will benefit their target communities and how their particular organization is staffed and ready to accomplish their mission. This “Non-Profit Certificate” series can get you there. This series will be given in one day from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm on Saturday, February 6, 2021 and consist of these four separate sessions:

Non Profit Versus for Profit: What is the Difference?
Starting a Non-Profit Organization
