Small Business Center at Durham Technical Community College: A Wealth of Resources to Develop and Grow Your Business
As part of the Small Business Center Network, the Small Business Center (SBC) at Durham Tech provides business owners with the information they need for success, including – but not limited to – advice on marketing, sales, bookkeeping, and financial management. The SBC supports the development of new businesses and the growth of existing businesses as a community-based provider of business training, counseling, and resource information. The Small Business Center is located at The Chesterfield Building, Ste 203, 701 West Main Street. Office hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. Evening hours by Appointment Only. Small Business Center Courses: Presented within a classroom environment, these hands-on courses offer a wide range of specific small business topics, along with the opportunity to apply this new information immediately. Call 919-536-7241 or visit www.durhamtech.edu/sbc for more information.
Important Note: Preregistration for all courses is required and must be completed by the Thursday of the week prior to the start of each course. If preregistration enrollment is low, classes may be canceled.
Small Business Center Seminars: These free seminars cover a wide range of small business topics. Important Note: Our Small Business Seminars are now free. Preregistration is strongly encouraged and allows the SBC to contact you regarding any changes (inclement weather, location, cancellations, etc.). We also encourage you to come early to secure your seat, since seating is limited. We also encourage you to preregister for webinars early to ensure you receive webinar access information in timely manner.
Small Business Center's Resources:? The Resource Center in the Small Business Center (SBC) has business books, magazines, newspapers, and other literature filled with valuable information on various business topics, industries, and the local community. Computers, printers and scanner are also available for entrepreneurs and business owners. The Resource Center (open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday) is also a thriving and inviting environment for entrepreneurs needing a quiet spot to work on their businesses. After 5 pm hours are available by appointment and when an evening course or seminar is being held at the Chesterfield Building.
Small Business Center Counseling: The Small Business Center provides free, confidential counseling services for new, emerging, and existing business owners. We become your "partner" for business success by helping you develop your business concepts and find solutions to your challenges.
